Brookfield Vets Mini Fair

Hi Readers, me again. What a busy little social butterfly I am. I had the GAP family walk this morning and the I went to the Brookfield Vets for their fun day. There was a great turnout and the Olympic theme provided some most amusing sights. We greys being the supreme athletes we are didn't need costumes to prove our Olympic speeds. Usain Bolt might keep the two leggers in awe but we greys know a thing or to about running as well.

I hope you like the photographs -

The GAP promo team ready for action.
Two of the beautiful Hellenic Goddesses that greeted us today.
These two cuties were on the display next to us and were almost as well behaved as we were.
Biscuit arrives for the promo.
 and slips into his costume.
"Mummy, mummy look at that grape hound"
This bard was there to serenade me with soothing tunes.
The Australian Olympic swim team was there (and was very well behaved given how tasty they looked)
World media scoop, Australian swimmer Rice is expecting a kid. You read it here first people.
One of the kayaking team dropped in.
with one of the Australian coaching squad ready to help!
Action - feeding fairy floss to Pumpkin.

Reaction - maddy to burn off sugar high in the nearest paddock.
We think this critter might win in the swimming pool.
This tawny frog mouth looks a little grumpy as its way past his bedtime.
Dad used a special effect to show these little guys running fast.
The A team show how its done.

Loki enjoyed being the centre of attention.
Two promotions in one day was too much for Ozzy.

Well Readers, that it from me. I'm off for an extra long snooze until dinner time. Bye for now - Murphy.

GAP Family Walk June 2012

Hi Readers, today was the June GAP family walk at Scarborough. It was another greyt day in SE Queensland with cool clear skies above. I couldn't stay for the whole walk as I promised the Brookfield Vets I would appear there to promote GAP. Ozzy and I really could have used a latte afterwards though!

I was going to take the yacht but the berthing situation was terrible!
Minnie the smoocher joined us for her first GAP walk as an honourary greyhound.
Today's early bird walkers.
Jay Jay was in front by a  head at this stage.
The lovely and very special Solo was there for his first walk. His cute snorkel won the crowd over.
Greys aren't silly enough to do this in winter but these guys were having a ball.
The beautiful glasshouse mountains farewelled us as we packed up and headed to Brookfield.

Fortunately I was able to snooze in the car while Dad drove us to Brookfield so I arrived looking fresh and relaxed. We are looking forward to the August walk to wind down after the RNA Ekka promo next month. See you there!

2012 Samford Show

Hi Readers, what a weekend the GAP promo team have had at the Samford show. It was possibly the wettest show we attended and have already named it Dogstock due to the mud. It was also a great show with the usual Samford friendliness and love for the greys.

I hope you enjoy the pics -

Did I mention the rain and the water everywhere?

And the mud?
Setting up on the morning of day one.
 Me in my GAP bandanna.
These guys were being sold on the stand next to us. Several covert missions to obtain them all failed.
"Can you tell me where to find Murphy's display"
A dragon emerged from the sand on day one...
... to morph into a  Mario Puzo inspired sculpture on day two.
A rump view of the tent pegging demonstration...
... with a muzzle shot of the follow through.
 "What are ewe looking at?"
Um, this picture is unrelated to the one above. Nothing to see here, move along citizen!
Police recruiting standards seem to have slipped in recent years.
A big scary thing. Oh, and a dinosaur on the loose in the Samford showgrounds.
A couple of kids being cute.
Eddie and friend.
There was some unpleasantness between Eddie and Star over the ownership of an angry bird stuffed toy.
Dr Harry was swept away in the crowds coming to see me.
Chatting about hounds while the sun baked us into the setting mud.
Prancer needed some support from Laura after a long day on the stand.
This cheeky fellow was there for the pet parade. Mmmm, I do love a good roast bird!
Lots of pats and cuddles were given and received over the weekend.
Our day two volunteers smiling in the bog.
One of these things is not like the others!
Prancer pretends to shake hands with an unsuspecting visitor when he was really putting a muddy paw print motif on his clothing.
 Mud bros.
No Ecky Thump here, more like welly-fu
New boy Ozzy gets some tips on his first promo from old hand Prancer.
For those that remember my post A New Beginning this is the lovely Toby now aged six months. He dropped in to see us today and give cuddles.
Its not a dove with an olive branch in its mouth but this kookaburra showed up as we were leaving and the sun started to shine. We are all looking forward to Samford 2013!

Well Readers, I'm off for my second bath in two days (the horror) followed by dinner and a very long snooze. Thank you so much to everybody who volunteered and bought their humans to the show. Bye for now - Murphy.
