Some Christmas Pics

Hi everybody, I thought you would like to see some pictures of my Christmas with the family.

Me with my Granny, Grand Dad, Mum, Dad, Honey the cougar and Prancer. Homer chose not to appear as he wasn't getting paid leave loading for the public holiday.

I'm ready for my close-up Mr De Mille

Hi Readers, it was Prancer's turn to shine today when the film crew who have been following his transition from racetrack to couch hogger for Sky channel visited the house of Hound.

We were interviewed about the GAP program in general and Prancer's progress as a pet. I even managed to get my head into a few shots to keep my fans happy.

The guys filming were very nice and we are looking forward to seeing the finished production. Bye for now - Murphy.

Look who has arrived

and just in time for Christmas as well. Traditionalists may say he is a tad early but I would like to introduce you to Prancer, our latest foster.

Prancer makes himself at home at the house of hound.

The lads - Prancer, Fred, Homer and yours truly.

Our darling foster Freddy goes to his forever home tonight. We will miss him very much but his new parents seem lovely. I'm sure Prancer will be good company for Homer & I.

Lazy Summer Sunday

Hi Readers, its another very hot day at the house of hound. Summer doesn't start until Tuesday but boy, are we in for it over the next few months.

There is only one thing to do on days like today and that is retreat to somewhere cool and do what we hounds do best.

This is Homer trying to show how tough he is by sunbathing. He lasted for five minutes before bolting inside. I'm not that silly.

Cherry snoozes on the cool tiles.

Here is Homer & I taking it easy.

Take care until next time Readers - Murphy.

2009 GAP Christmas Party

It was off to the Roma Street parklands in Brisbane today for GAP's annual Christmas party. It was a very warm day and we were under some lovely shade trees in the park. There were heaps of activities on which included face painting, trivia competitions, a sausage sizzle, longest tail and biggest/smallest dog competitions as well as a BBQ and GAP merchandise for sale.

Mum was on duty in the welcome tent and Dad was cooking at the BBQ so it was up to Freddy and I to check out the activities and report back. I hope you like the photos!

I love you,Man

Hi everybody, Murphy and Homer won't be happy with me but I thought I would post this pic anyway.

I think that this photo was the basis of the bromance movie "I love you, Man"

Crikey

Hi all, its Homer here. I've pinched Murphy's log on as I wanted to tell you about a strange experience I had this morning.

I was just reading about Steve Irwin day being today on the Australia Zoo website before I went for my morning patrol around the House of Hound with Murphy. We were down the back when we saw this ghostly image next to me and .. well have a look for yourself.

Sorry about the quality of this shot but Murphy was a bit startled when "Steve" appeared.

Crikey, get a load of this little beauty!

To be honest, it looks a lot like dad but I'm not sure how he managed the hair?

Oh, I see!

While there is no argument Steve was a full on individual there is no doubt he loved animals and worked tirelessly to protect them. Have a look at the Australia zoo website link above for ways to help continue his good work.

Anyway, I'm off to the local 7-11 to see if I can spot Elvis or Michael Jackson. See you later - Homer.
