Bye for now - Murphy (see you after the turkey, ham and pudding have been dispatched).

Brisbane City Council's Afternoon in the Park

Hi Readers, as the year draws to a close we attended our penultimate promotion at the Brisbane City Council's afternoon in the park. It was much cooler today so we greyhounds were able to have a sprint around the park before the locals arrived.

I hope you enjoy the photographs -

Hope blows away the cobwebs watched by Mum and Eddie.
Councillor Victoria welcomes everybody to the event.
In da hood? No gang colours allowed!
Our old friend Xena was there. She stayed up high to avoid the hordes of small fluffies.
 "Air kisses darling, merry Christmas!"
Somebody is taking the sit command a little too far!
Sara and the object of her affection.
"I left my glasses in my other coat. Sorry I can't see your name tag."
Jess was there in her Christmas costume.
Small fluffies abounded at today's event.
The Christmas Westie was there as well.
Everybody wanted to know where Cole got his neckerchief.

The GAP team watch the fun and games.

One of my fans visited the face painting display before stopping by for a pat.

Well Readers, I hear my dinner being prepared so I must be off. I hope its tasty!. Bye for now - Murphy.

GAP Christmas Breakfast 2011

Hi Readers, today was the 2011 GAP Christmas get together. We headed off to Decker park Sandgate  for a walk followed by breakfast  along the bay. It was a lovely day to celebrate GAP's achievements over the past few months since Gail joined the team. As you'll see from the photographs there were a lot of happy hounds and their humans there today.

The start of a lovely day on the bay.
Sign being upgraded to "Bring snacks, greyhound territory"
Sara was there...
 ... as was Oscar.
 Getting to know everybody...
... usually results in a bit of greyhound maypole dancing.
An idol of the local tribe.

One of theses hounds is not like the others?

Many, many hounds.
Taking back the walking path from cyclists and other miscreants for its intended purpose.
These little guys stopped to let the parade of hounds pass.
Cooling off at the nearest patch of sand.
Spot the water babies.
 Michelle with Charlie and Bailey.
Sara teaches the greys a new trick.
 Mum and Eddie...
... who has been watching way too much Crocodile Dundee.
 Mine...mine...mine...mine... etc.
 Me chillin' at the beach.
Pumpkin takes Aunty Leanne for a dip.
It was great to catch up with all the hounds and their peeps.
Cooling off after we got back to the park...
... where Peter had breakfast waiting. mmm...bacon.
Venus with her family.

Well Readers, I must be off for a snooze while Mum and Dad de-sand Eddie and Hope. Take care and until next time be kind to your hounds - Murphy.

IPAC Lifestyle Event

Hi Readers, GAP was invited to attend the IPAC lifestyle event at the St Lucia golf course last night. Prancer and I put on our best evening wear collars and headed off to the clubhouse with Mum and Dad.

I hope you enjoy the pictures -

I thought it was only some dogs that wasted time chasing balls around a park?
Prancer and I ready to greet the guests.
It was so hot yesterday that one of my fans bought us water in a lovely silver ice bucket.
I've never seen mangoes like these ones before.
Catching up on how my portfolio is performing in the current market (curse you Berlusconi!).
Dad with greyhound adoption advocate Dr Harry Cooper.

Anyway readers, I promised Prancer that I wouldn't mention his attempt to steal the canapes or the fact he went snout down in some body's champagne glass so I won't. See you next time readers - Bye for now - Murphy.

Hope & Eddie's 1st Birthday

Hi Readers, the past few weeks have seen both Hope and Eddie have their 1st birthday. Mum made them a special "cake" today which we all shared.

"Cake?, did somebody say cake?"

Prancer pretends that he isn't interested...
...before launching a preemptive strike before the birthday boy and girl can blow out the candle.

Order restored, Hope makes a wish.
All we got from Eddie was "Nom, nom, nom"

Anyway Readers, we are still trying to find the candle but are sure it will eventually pass! Have a great weekend and bye for now - Murphy.
