Hi Readers, Prancer stayed up late last night to watch the Aussie team play Ghana. He was disgusted with the refs dodgy decision to red card Harry Kewell.

The look of horror says it all.

Anyway Readers, I must be off to console him as he is still devastated about the outcome. Oh well, he might stop blowing that cursed vuvuzela now - bye for now - Murphy.

BBQ Chicken

Hi Readers, this isn't the first thing I thought of when Dad said we had a chicken on the BBQ, oh well. You may remember my post about the rescue chickens we adopted in January and what a grotty bunch they were then. Its good to see the girls looking so well now and we greys are certainly enjoying the eggs.

This Chicky babe doesn't appreciate the irony of sittting on the BBQ!

Her friends carry on scritching unconcerned for her wellfare.

Of course, if one did end up being accidently barbequed I guess I would get over it! (Mmm...chicken). Bye for now - Murphy.

It's My Birthday!

Hi Readers, I turned five on Saturday. Mum threw me a party and it was pigs ears and cupcakes all round at the house of hound. Yeah for me.

Anyway, I'm off for a snooze after all the excitement. Bye for now Readers - The birthday boy.

Winter Garden Cleanup

Hi Readers, I thought you might like these pics of the non greyhound members of the House of Hound helping with the gardening chores.

I would have liked to lend a hand but its Sunday and we greys need our beauty sleep.

Cutlet goes all Rambo on the palm fronds.

Rocky the wonder goat and his mum Lucy get to work on the recycling.
Anyway Readers, I'm off to read the Sunday paper and plan my television viewing for the week. Bye for now - Murphy.

GAP's June Foster Carer Walk

Mum, Dad, Prancer, Jess and I headed off to the lake at UQ this morning to catch up with the GAP team. Homer stayed in bed as he has a sore nail that needs resting. It was a typical beautiful Brisbane spring day, crisp and fine. We were a few minutes late getting there as our GPS was set to "rat run" rather than "quickest route". Anyway, we had a great time after our impromptu tour of St Lucia and its surrounds.

I hope you enjoy the photos-

All was peaceful and serene (and then we arrived).

Jess and Loki ready to go.

Jay Jay gets goosed.

We spotted a couple of students collecting these. When they saw us they giggled and ran off.

The gang by the lake.

Jay Jay cuts a fine figure.

Greyhound pup Reggie admires Prancer's winning form.

Karen holding honourary greyhound and GAP testing dog Harvey, with Loki looking on.

Anyway Readers, I must be off for a snooze in the afternoon sun. Bye for now - Murphy.
