GAP's Bribie Walk

Good morning Readers, Mum and Dad took my brothers and I to Bribie Island today to meet up with the GAP family for our monthly walk. Despite it being very windy on the beach we had a greyt time of it and we were also spoiled rotten at Nat's Shack after the walk with bowls of water for us and coffee for the humans.

Brother Eddie would also like to apologize again for pulling Auntie Michelle over in the surf. I think she should walk me next time as I am so much better behaved than the yellow eyed beast.

Our gathering point for the walk.
Team Cerberus (Eddie, Prancer and Ozzy) ready for action.
I don't think Jack stopped play bowing all day.
Sandra takes her knee for its first beach walk since getting back on her feet.
"You want me to go where?"
Michelle with Eddie just before the salt water activated his normally dormant "Kraken" gene.
Prancer enjoying a paddle along the water's edge.
Teddy has grown so much since we were here last time.
Yours truly cutting a fine figure on the beach.
Heaven will be like this. Lovely beaches and greyhounds for as far as the eye can see.
Ozzy couldn't care less about the pipis I dug up for him. Typical!
"Fly, be free!" or whatever it is you mollusks do to escape.
 The gang on the beach.
Carlin cuddles aplenty post walk. Prancer loved being the center of attention.
Attention hog Prancer gets another chest rub at the cafe.
Emily asks "Are you going to eat that?"
Our hosts from Nat's shack. Tip - photographs with greyhounds should only be attempted before breakfast is served.
Dee Dee is Marissa's Tabby's full sister. Small world!
If crystal meth smelt like liver treats these two would have a job for life with the customs service.

Thank you to everybody who bought their humans along to Bribie today. My brothers and I are all yawning and heading off for a snooze now. Anyway, until next time - bye for now - Murphy.

Australia Day Walk.

Hi Readers, I'm not impressed. Just because I have a sore paw I was not allowed to go to the GAP walk this morning. I wasn't going to comment until dad mentioned that me having dinner was dependent upon me posting these photos. So here we go -

Some of the team getting ready to walk.
Gina, Narelle and Liz with their hounds.
Launching the greys using the dual purpose boat and hound ramp.
Amongst the mangroves with Haley and Cody.
Getting ready to paddle.
Blake and Bully were first in.
Are those imperial walkers in the background?
The hounds having fun as the tide goes out.
The Kracken is released. Eddie is like a gremlin, never get him wet or feed him after midnight.
Helen, Tanya and Sharon testing the water.
Teddy, Ozzy and Jim trying to see who can wet their humans the most.
Michelle and hounds.
Mum with Eddie, soaked but happy.
And then somebody yelled "shark".
The walkers hoping they wore drip dry clothes.
Drying off after the walk. The hounds dried in record time today, we really are wash and wear pooches
It can only be the lovely Bella the whippet.
Brother Teddy proved again that three legs can get into just as much trouble as four can.
The beach was popular with all sorts of creatures today. These guys are almost as handsome as we are.
Cafe confusion. The GAP team entertained the locals today with our well behaved hounds and owners.
Eddie with Keely waiting on their drinks.

Thanks to the good people at Pam's Cafe 88 for making us feel welcome this morning. Sharon talks greys with a couple of Lycra types at the cafe.

Well Readers, I hope you enjoyed the photographs. On the plus side, Eddie, Ozzy and Teddy all had to have baths when they got home so I was happy about that. Until next time - bye for now - Murphy.

Happy Australia Day

Crikey Readers, it is the Australia day long weekend already. That means three days of walks, BBQs, swimming and cuddles. What more could a hound wish for?

Brothers Ozzy, Prancer and I modelling our swaggy hats in the bush.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend and remember, always give your greyhound at least two cuddles every day. Bye for now - Murphy.

Happy Birthday Homer

Hi Readers, brother Homer recently turned 11 and I thought that he deserved a little special treatment.

Homer has always been a sun bunny but I don't understand why he prefers to lay on the concrete rather than a nice bed. Oh well, we'll flip him over when this side is done!

Well Readers, I'm off for some birthday cake. I might even have to help the old boy blow out his candles! Bye for now - Murphy.

Merry Christmas Everybody

Hi Readers, I wanted to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas. Please stay safe, drive carefully, keep your hounds away from all the Christmas nastys like fruit mince pies, chocolate macadamias and booze (Humans, good advice for you as well!). Remember to tell your hounds and humans you love them everyday because you don't know what tomorrow may bring.

Thank you for all your love and support during the year and I'll see you in 2014.

Mum with me, my family and some of our hounds looking for homes.
Until 2014 - Bye for now - Murphy ❤.

GAP Twilight Walk

Merry Christmas readers, the GAP family meet at Decker Park for a twilight walk last night. It was a beautiful cool evening after a hot summers day. The tide was out so we could walk across the sand banks and everybody had a greyt time having a paddle in the tide pools.

I hope you enjoy the pictures. Dad's camera ran out of memory so he used his mobile for some of these shots.

Me all ready with my glow stick as the sun sets. Party on dude!

Some of the early arrivals for the walk. Love the glowing red collar on the lovely fawn hound.
Mandela going in for the cuddle.
Milo with his glow collar in place and raring to go.
Ernst with brother Ozzy. Thanks to Ernst for lending a spare hand to walk Ozzy.
The lovely Bree glammed up and showing off her Christmas best.
Ollie stopped in to say hi with Niff, Tabby and the lovely Jess.
Milo saying hi to his hound friends.

Team Partridge ready to go.

Greyhound Christmas parade complete with glow sticks.
Ozzy and Mandela on the beach waiting for a paddle.
Mum with aunts Liz and Sharon with Ozzy, Teddy, Eddy, Hayley and Rock.

The gang post walk. Thanks to Stuart Crisp for this photo taken in very low light.

Thanks you to everybody who attended and bought their humans along for the walk. My fellow hounds and I are so grateful to have the GAP team of Gail, Mum and Leah looking after us all. The GAP team are looking forward to an even bigger 2014 finding more forever homes for our brothers in paws.

Until next year - Merry Christmas and bye for now - Murphy <3.
