A very Chilly Samford Show

Hi Readers, the GAP team had a fantastic time at the Samford show this year. It was very cold and windy but the crowds loved meeting me all the greyhounds and we have had heaps of enquiries about adopting a greyhound.

My security detail making sure the venue was safe.
These cheeky guys nominated themselves as site supervisors  and gave advice while we set up.
 Ready for action!
Just a beauty nap, a hound has to look his best you know.
Appa hatching a cunning plan to get some lemonade.
"Look into my eyes, you will adopt a greyhound"
A classic greyhound pose to attract the punters.
Cuddles from a fan.
Me playing patty cake with a young visitor.
 Appa and his BFF Jack.
It was so cold in the morning that everyone had to wear their coats.
With the dry, cold winds and static, Jack was having a bad hair day.
Do not try this at home, especially in high winds!
A lovely pat from this young lady.
Free kisses were a feature of Appa's approach.
Yep, two ears here - all good.
Our security team visiting the stand to check on my well being.
Truer words have never been spoken!
Clearly a hard core GAP fan.
You don't get much more relaxed than doing a full roach at a public event.
Lots of cuddles were had during the show.
Awww ... snooze time using Teddles as a pillow.
A big gentle kiss for a special visitor.

Well Readers, that's all for now. Stay warm, hug your hounds and I'll see you again soon. Bye for now - Murphy.

Anzac Day 2015

Hi Readers, todays marks the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC forces landing at Gallipoli. We use this day to honour those soldiers that made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe and we also remember those who have fought in all wars since 1918 and those who stand by to protect our freedom today.

I also like to remember all the service animals that perished in these conflicts and present to you the war animals prayer -

The War Animals Prayer
The glamour gone, some scattered graves and memories dim remain:
With his old pals across the field, he’ll never walk again; But yet there’s nothing he regrets as he awaits his Call, For what was done or lost or won, he did his bit-that’s all.

Now as silent as the guns have fallen
Their tired heart resting, closed eyed of loving grace.
We ask in your quiet thoughts of Honourable Remembrance
Your allow them, the animals, to take their long awaited place.

Lest we forget.

Bye for now - Murphy.
